Board gives initial approval to Westfield/North Smithfield Sewer Authority minor subdivision to realign Franklin Hill Road right-of-way

The board reviewed a minor subdivision application filed by Westfield/North Smithfield Sewer Authority to clean up lot lines, create a right-of-way for the Franklin Hill Road realignment and convey a parcel to the township for future road work. Solicitor Ron Karaszek and engineer John Tresler explained the plan consolidates several existing tracts and formalizes an easement for the existing pump station, and the PennDOT driveway/permit and county planning reviews are in process.
Board members asked whether any waivers remained; the developer withdrew waiver requests by redesigning the plan. The board made initial approval conditional on standard deed and plan items and directed staff to prepare deeds, an easement grant to the Sewer Authority where required, and other paperwork before final sign-off.
