Sean, identified in the meeting as the district's business assistant, described a recent interaction in which Coach Adams removed a freshman, Cooper, from play early in the season because of recurring attitude problems. Sean said the move was intended to address conduct: "Cooper had a very poor attitude ... Coach Adams pulled him to the side and explained to him the reason he wasn't played was because of his attitude."
Sean added that the coach later messaged the student with encouragement, saying the coach "told him to keep the faith, stay positive" and expressed appreciation for the coach's focus on character development rather than only wins and losses. The board listened without taking formal action on the comments.
