Emily Morland, who worked closely with the small groups, praised the instructional model, saying students made “really significant gains” during the sessions. Board members and staff also noted high‑school credit recovery served “about 24–26” students and that “23 credits” had been recovered, including credits seniors needed to receive diplomas.
School officials thanked teachers and aides by name for their work, naming Erica, Amanda, Taylor, Kathy and others who supported remediation and retesting. The board’s discussion emphasized the value of small groups and individualized retesting as strategies to address learning gaps and to help students complete graduation requirements.
The board did not set new program changes at the meeting; administrators said they will continue similar summer supports and report results to the board as part of regular updates.
