Staff reported a project request of about $1,000,000 was submitted for federal funding; best-case federal support was estimated at $750,000–$800,000, though staff cautioned about potential restrictions on reimbursing work done before grant awards. The committee voted to recommend adding the North Sherman stretch (from North Thurman to just south of Oxford) to the project list and to forward the recommendation to the finance committee and village board for funding approval.
Next steps: staff will prepare a recommendation packet for the finance committee and village board, and flag permitting, contractor schedule windows and emergency‑service routing constraints for the reconstruction window.
