Marinette police report smooth festival operations and command staff earn FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Award

Police Chief LaCombe presented the Marinette Police Department’s 12-month activity and operations report and told the Public Safety & Code Enforcement Committee the recent Logging & Heritage Festival “ran very smooth.” The report compared prior and current year-to-date call totals and outlined department activity through June 2026.
LaCombe announced the department earned the Agency Trilogy Award, recognition given when an agency’s entire command staff completes FBI-LEEDA’s Supervisor, Command and Executive Leadership Institutes. He said completing the trilogy required three distinct 4.5-day courses and thanked Captain Nault for his efforts to apply for grants that funded the training. The chief was present to answer committee questions.
The committee approved the previous meeting minutes earlier in the session and did not take formal action tied to the police report during this meeting. The department packet included the detailed comparative call totals; committee members had the opportunity to review that data and seek follow-up at a future meeting if desired.
