Board praises ACP completion and co‑curricular growth; flags family‑conference gaps at Logan

Carrie Huth and Brida presented the district’s Results Monitoring report R3.2 on citizenship and career readiness, saying the indicator set includes co‑curricular participation and Academic and Career Planning (ACP) benchmarks. "There are four indicators for this result monitoring report," Carrie Huth told the board. Staff highlighted growth in students participating in two or more co‑curricular activities at both middle and high school levels.
On ACP the presenters reported near‑100% completion of most required ACP activities across schools but noted family‑conference attendance varied by site. Brida said some buildings—Logan High and CRVA—showed lower family‑attendance numbers (Logan ~65%). Board members asked about remote options and targeted outreach to families for whom English is not the primary language. Presenters said counselors follow up individually, virtual sign‑ups remain available and the district will work with EL lead Olga Denova and others to increase family engagement through alternate meeting times and community locations.
Members and staff agreed the ACP and co‑curricular gains are important for career pathways and student engagement; staff said the district will continue monitoring completion and family participation and report back with targeted strategies.
