Town staff informed the board that an INDOT Community Crossings grant application was approved and funding is available to pave the remaining sections of the town's streets.
The board said the last sections scheduled for repaving will include Connor (near the dam) and Lake View. Staff also noted a manhole at Meridian and Angland that is breaking up will be cut out and surrounded with concrete to prevent future deterioration. The board said this will complete the major repaving program done over the last seven to eight years, after which the town will focus on routine maintenance such as crack sealing.
Contractor scheduling remains to be confirmed; staff reported they expected the paving vendor to provide timing and that the town will monitor contractor delivery and final dates.
