Shamrock Lakes board approves routine contracts and a contractor pay increase

At its Nov. 20 meeting the Town Board approved multiple routine annual contracts and a cost-of-living adjustment for a contractor.
Contracts approved included Alpha Snow Removal (no change in price from last year), a Best Way Disposable contract that reflected a roughly 3% increase raising the monthly charge from about $1,860 to $1,915.80, and the Blackford County Animal Shelter contract at the same amount as last year. The board also approved a Trinity Lawn Services contract that increased the per-mow rate from $440 to $465 (a 3% rise). Each contract was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board also approved a standard 2.8% cost-of-living increase for contractor Travis, increasing his compensation from about $1,210 to approximately $1,424 per the motion approved by the board. Members said they had reviewed the contract documents and noted only the date or rate changes where applicable.
