Councilmembers and city staff inspected two trees in the alley by 108 Felton that straddle a property line and the city's right-of-way. Mayor Al Cerny, Finance Officer Trudy Waterman, former Public Works Superintendent Josey Larsen, Councilmember Laura Petersen, and Jason Frasch of Rosebud Electric examined the trees; the minutes record that Mayor Cerny "has asked the remaining Council to look at the trees as well to decide the City's stance on them." No action was taken at the meeting and the item was tabled until the Nov. 18, 2024 council meeting.
The council left the item on the agenda to allow further inspection and deliberation before deciding on any removal or other remediation. The minutes did not record any votes or cost estimates related to tree removal; follow-up is scheduled for the next meeting.
