Finance director says FY24–25 audit pending; extension possible

Finance Director Tony Genovese updated the Marlborough Board of Finance July 20 on the status of the FY24–25 audit, saying the town has supplied auditors with the requested documentation and is awaiting their completion.
Genovese said, “The Town has completed the requested information from the auditors and now they are waiting on the auditors to complete the audit.” He added that if the audit is not finalized in July the town may request another extension. There was no recorded motion about the audit at the meeting; members voted to add audit discussion to the agenda earlier in the session.
