Elementary enrollment steady; family math night planned in December

An elementary-school representative ('Ben') briefed the board that enrollment is steady across grades and that pre-K is full at 15 students.
"Pre-K is officially full — we are at 15 now," Ben said, and described upcoming family-engagement activities: a math night planned for Dec. 18, a literacy night in the spring, and a science fair slated for March or early April. Ben said teachers are preparing events and that the school is building family engagement around math, literacy and science.
Ben also described classroom-level instructional work: staff are training in phonics, third through fifth graders are preparing for middle-year assessments, and classrooms are adding hands-on science opportunities. The board heard the update as part of the school reports and asked questions about expanding tutoring and outreach as weather and scheduling allow.
