The JEMEZ VALLEY PUBLIC SCHOOLS Board announced a special virtual meeting for Friday at 5:30 p.m. to present the district's Strategic Plan and associated materials for board review and public information. The board president said the plan was not placed on the current agenda because a work session had just concluded and the special meeting will allow a full presentation and discussion.
The presenter said the draft includes five priorities, revised vision and mission language, guardrails and a commitments statement. The district leadership team will prepare action plans, yearly benchmarks and deliverables if the board approves the plan; a flyer showing how the strategic plan would be presented to the public was circulated to board members. "The District leadership team now once approved will now be working on the action plans and the yearly benchmarks and deliverable," the board president said. The board indicated it expects to present the plan for formal adoption at the next regular meeting.
