The board discussed card and mobile-payment vendors and a demo they watched of a product (referred to in the meeting as SuccessFunds). Members said they would pursue more information about vendor fees and whether district-wide policies (or approvals from other districts) affect the ability to accept cards at gates and concession stands; the board emphasized maintaining cash options for families who do not use cards.
No policy change was adopted at the meeting; staff said they would continue researching vendor options and report back.
