The board handled a series of routine and substantive items. By voice vote the board approved the March 9 minutes and tab B (claims and financial statements). The board conditionally accepted the lowest demolition bid for North Knox East pending final contract language from the district attorney and bidder acceptance. NEOLA policy updates were presented as a first reading; no motion was required for first reading.
Other approvals included the Airmark food-service contract renewal (approximately a 4.1% increase), summer athletic schedules (volleyball, football and boys basketball), the North Knox Intermediate emergency plan (TAB D), a summer Jump Start program at North Primary (July 13–24), and low-bid vendors for CTE equipment and furniture (tab J). Personnel actions approved included volunteer assistant softball coaches Kobe Cleo and Dustin McClure, a volunteer high-school baseball coach, acceptance of resignations from Jordan Clong (English) and Alan Bing (history), and a leave of absence for Shay Marzac (Primary teacher). The board also approved facility use by Backpack Blessings in July.
Several items passed by voice vote; the transcript records motions and seconds but does not include roll-call tallies. The Chair indicated staff will return with contract language or further details where required, and the board set its next meeting for May 18 at 5:00 p.m.
