The board also approved a Franklin School fifth‑grade field trip to the Fitsburg Museum of Art on June 4. Committee members confirmed the application included required certified CPR personnel, nurse involvement and full teacher staffing for the fifth grade; the motion to approve carried 7‑0.
Education committee members said both trips had been reviewed for safety and staffing. Board rolls reflected unanimous support for both recommendations, and administrators noted that the Franklin trip arrived at the full board agenda because its timing required approval before the committee could meet.
