Resident reports raw sewage basement flood; city arranges cleanup and insurance contact

Finance Officer Trudy Waterman reported that on Sept. 29, resident Alice Slade’s basement flooded with raw sewage. Water Supervisor Marty Jung and Damon Eagle Star addressed the problem immediately the following Monday. Waterman said the city contacted Mustang Disaster CleanUp and the city’s insurance company; Mustang hoped to complete cleaning on Oct. 8 and the estimate and photos have been submitted to insurance.
The council recorded the report and no action was required at the meeting. The matter will proceed through the city’s insurance and cleanup processes.
