The Gregory City Council discussed two ordinance topics on Aug. 5. For rolling vendors, the council expressed a desire to require vendor paperwork and permits and to have rolling vendors notify City Hall in advance of their planned locations. No ordinance language was adopted at the meeting; the council discussed policy direction for staff review.
On the dog-bite topic, council members directed Chief Cook to work with Attorney Jacobsen to develop a dog-bite–specific ordinance and bring it back to council for consideration. Separately, discussion of a Dixon townhall was tabled until the September meeting. The minutes record assignments to staff and legal counsel for ordinance drafting rather than final ordinance action.
