The council convened as the Board of Adjustment to review Planning & Zoning recommendations. P&Z Board Member Samuel Flakus presented recommendations: the Kaupp/Stephen fence permits were approved, with the contractor required to find the halfway point for the shared fence; the Connot variance to place a structure on a residential property line was denied; and the Rosebud Farmers Cooperative permit to move a building was tabled because the application missed the ordinance filing deadline.
Motions were recorded as follows: the Stephens fence approval (motion by Ashley Lozano), the Kaupp fence approval (motion by Ashley Lozano), denial of the Connot variance (motion by Guhner Kepler), and tabling of the Rosebud permit until Oct. 21 (motion by Guhner Kepler). All motions carried with unanimous 'all ayes' votes. Flakus also reported that a P&Z Board member drove on freshly installed sod and seed, causing property damage; the contractor and real estate agent were notified.
