Gregory Public Library wins 2024–2027 accreditation; cameras and A/C flagged for follow-up

Library Director Tara Engel told the council the Gregory Public Library received a Certificate of Accreditation covering 2024–2027 and that staff closed out the Stephanie Miller Summer Reading Program grant. She said the library is planning a Christmas Tree Program, purging old computer user listings, expanding the Afterschool Lego Program, and added five new patrons in September.
Ms. Engel also reported the library camera installation was set to begin Oct. 5. The council moved the library A/C quote to a subsequent meeting for decision. Finance Officer Trudy Waterman separately reported on the monthly financials and asked permission to proceed with a tree agreement for Dr. and Mrs. Fogel; the council granted permission to proceed.
