The White County Commission approved a resolution, introduced by Commissioner McCormick, that would prohibit any AI structure connected to the electrical grid within the county.
"And it's a resolution approving and authorizing a ban on any AI structure connected to the grid in White County," Commissioner McCormick said while describing the steering committee B item. Commissioners clarified that the measure requires a simple majority (the packet had printed a higher threshold) and then voted; the resolution passed 11-0.
Commission materials included references to packet and previously printed thresholds, and the chair clarified the procedural vote requirement before commissioners approved the ban. No public testimony requesting changes to the text was recorded during the vote.
