The White County Commission approved a $45,000 resolution to fund the purchase of a fire truck for the Eastland Volunteer Fire Department and to finance certain repairs at the Central View Fire Department.
"Amendment number or resolution number 2 is an amendment for purchasing fire truck at Eastland Volunteer Fire Department as well as certain repairs that are needed with, Central View Fire Department. That's a total resolution of $45,000. There's an 80 20 split associated with that with the fire department," Dakota said when presenting the budget committee items. The Moderator clarified the county would cover 80 percent and the respective department 20 percent. The commission then voted and passed the resolution 11-0.
The funding was presented as a budget committee item and was approved alongside other consent and budget motions during the meeting.
