State Road rebuild moving fast; kitchen modernization to be bid for next summer

Staff said solar panels at State Road will number about 110 and are expected to offset roughly 28% of that facility's utilities; they noted roof area and proximity to woods limit additional panels. The kitchen modernization will not be done this summer; staff plans to put that project out for bid in the fall with construction next summer and will add a refrigerator-freezer and remodeled service lanes to improve student flow.
Staff also described planned LMC changes (filling a pit, adding a conference room and reconfiguring the circulation desk) and emphasized the heavy internal construction schedule that makes precise timing critical.
