Commission reviews Vacation Rental application, asks for edits to forms and timeline

Commissioners also noted a discrepancy between ordinary Business Tax Receipt fees and the proposed Vacation Rental Business Tax Receipt. As Building Official Jose Rodriguez explained, "this is a fire code and not negotiable since they would now be considered commercial," in response to concerns about a three-foot fire extinguisher placement. The Commission reached consensus to approve the application subject to the minor changes discussed and to redistribute the revised application to the Commission prior to the next meetings.
