Quitman approves tree removals at Summerall Park, Long Boulevard and Shadowwood

The board also addressed a large dead tree at Shadowwood that could fall on nearby houses; Wally quoted $2,000 to cut and haul the tree and that bid was approved. Board discussion noted stump grinding is preferred at park sites to allow restoration of flat land and reduce trip hazards. Motions on each tree were moved and seconded on the record and announced as carried.
