"Long Fellow had it was $782,500 worth of damage from that flood," Miss Spring said when describing unprotected loss and the claims-processing timeline. The board noted that insurance premiums are increasing nationwide because of more frequent and severe weather events and that the district’s claims history influences future rates.
Discussion also covered cyber risk and a consortium policy that provides cyber coverage tailored to schools; administrators said the consortium is statewide. The OE7 report will return on the next consent agenda for formal compliance determination.
