Union City sets regular meetings for first and third Mondays; manager updates projects and outreach events

Council agreed to change its regular meeting schedule to the first and third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m., starting in September; the next meeting following this change was scheduled for Aug. 27, 2024, and because of Labor Day the subsequent meeting will be Sept. 16, 2024.
Borough Manager Cindy Wells also updated council on municipal projects and events: the TA Set-Aside sidewalk project is ongoing, Erie County Planning will host a kickoff on Sept. 13 for park and trail improvements along French Creek (the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail), and the Union City Volunteer Fire Department requested public-works assistance to demo a shed at 10 Market Street without use of the borough backhoe.
