The board approved bringing on a part‑time bookkeeping consultant, Adam Fleming (formerly at Great Southern Bank), at $25 per hour for up to 10 hours a week to help finance staff complete reconciliations and the audit. Staff said Fleming would work as needed, possibly remotely or at the city office, and that the engagement would be temporary until records are up to date.
Board members agreed the hourly rate and limited weekly hours were appropriate for the interim workload. Staff will monitor progress and bring future requests if additional support is needed during the audit and budget amendment process.
