The board moved to increase the assistant-treasurer sewer bond from $25,000 to $30,000; the motion passed. Diane said she would follow up with the insurer to make the coverage change.
Separately, the board reviewed a workers' compensation quote of about $508 and discussed whether board members should be included. Members asked whether the premium is prorated for the remainder of the year and whether coverage might be split between the general and sewer accounts; the board agreed to request details from the agent and to revisit the vote at the next meeting if necessary.
The clerk also noted the animal-shelter contract request for 2026 (no increase) and said the budget will need conservative assumptions for contractor-price changes next year. The board directed staff to make the bond change with the insurer and to supply detailed quotes for workers' compensation in time for budget decisions.
