Board moves Perry driveway application to administrative review

Alan Filch of LP Engineering presented a revised plan for a new driveway at 259 Smithridge Road, explaining the proposed alignment and mitigation for wetland-buffer impacts. "One of the mitigation measures is to remove the phragmites from Mr. Perry's property ... an area of about 1,560 square feet that would be treated," Filch said, and showed six mitigation areas and tree-protection measures on the plan.
Board members discussed sight distance (Filch said about 400 feet to both north and south), the need for town stormwater permit and some remaining technical items. After questions and a request that staff confirm several plan details, a motion was made and seconded to move the application to the administrative review pathway rather than holding a public hearing, with the applicant to produce the requested clarifications.
