Superintendent Collins described the district as "in full force trying to prepare for the new year," thanked staff (singling out Craig and his team) for creating new classroom space and site improvements, and noted work such as new grass in front of the high school. The hires were presented as part of routine personnel actions and were included on the consent calendar approved earlier in the meeting.
Several speakers welcomed the new employees and described their backgrounds: the record notes candidates' experience in special education, bilingual instruction, and fiscal services.
