Steve said vendors have begun weekly coordination meetings and that NorCom (Naugatuck, CT) will assemble and program equipment before delivery and installation.
Board members asked about staffing, grant timing, and how the EMPG and other federal funds flow through state channels; Steve said the EMPG per‑capita grant (~$20,000) subsidizes the emergency management director salary and that other grants were pending due to federal budget timing. The board approved the FY27 emergency management budget request of $1,270,180.
