The Board approved several motions to surplus and reassign town vehicles for police and public works operations. Purchases and surplus recommendations came via Purchasing Agent Shay Davyy on behalf of department leaders; items voted included surplus of a 2019 Chevy Tahoe (asset 101834, car 22), reassignment of a 2019 Tahoe (asset 101887) to replace car 22, surplus of a 2006 Crown Victoria (asset 1000255, fleet ID A18), reassignment of a 2017 Chevy Silverado (asset 101505) to serve loaner/parts runs, and surplus of a 2012 Ford Fusion hybrid (asset 101197, A20).
Lieutenant and Public Works Director Gary Schneider described usages: older Tahoes and the Crown Vic were being shifted into road‑job or loaner roles because they have high idle hours or are no longer suitable for day‑to‑day patrol. The motions were moved, seconded and approved by voice votes. Several members asked that mileage be included in backup materials for future items.
