At its July 15 meeting the Southwest School Corporation Board of Trustees approved a broad consent slate that included resignations, multiple certified and non-certified staff contracts, and numerous athletic coaching and volunteer appointments. The slate listed hires such as Deborah McCra (secretary), Kendra Klitz and Jessica Hall (instructional aides), Tyler Nichols (music teacher), and a series of coaching appointments across schools; the consent package passed on a single 4–0 vote.
The consent agenda also authorized placement of Sam Sterling as a school resource officer at Svin Middle School and accepted a donation of $800 from Brett Rididgeway to fund a locker-room rug for Sullivan High School boys basketball. Board members moved and seconded the items and there was no separate discussion on these consent appointments.
