Planning Commission unanimously recommends zoning change for Black Dog, LLC parcel

The City of Harrisburg Planning Commission voted unanimously Feb. 10 to recommend a zoning map amendment for a parcel owned by Black Dog, LLC in Section 34, T100N, R50W. The motion to recommend approval passed on a roll vote of 7-0.
Chad Huwe, representing City Planning & Zoning, introduced the rezone application for parcel #270.55.74.2000 and explained the request to reclassify 5.75 acres from R-1 Single-Family Detached Residential to R-1C Single-Family Detached Compact and to reclassify 4.31 acres from R-1C to R-1. Applicant Doug Allen was present to answer commissioners' questions. Chairperson Bruce Bicknase opened a public hearing and, with no public comment, closed it before the commission acted.
Commissioner Jason Schipper moved to recommend approval to the City Council; Commissioner Jon Kraft seconded. The roll vote recorded Yeas from Rob Doyen, Matthew Irish, Collin McKenzie, Jason Schipper, Jon Kraft, Jim Nielsen and Bruce Bicknase; Nays: none. The motion carried 7-0.
The recommendation now goes to the Harrisburg City Council for a final decision; the Planning Commission minutes do not record any conditions or recommended amendments to the rezone application.
