Union City Borough Council approved a motion to designate $39,060.20 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to cover stormwater repairs in Municipal Lot #1 and to close a catch basin in Hogan's Alley. The borough manager reported an ARPA balance of $194,413 and explained $160,000 had been previously designated for the Willow Street Bridge, with $25,000 already spent.
Councilor Joyce moved the allocation and Councilor Steadman seconded the motion; the minutes record the motion carried. The minutes also note that the agenda was corrected earlier in the meeting to change the ARPA reference from Municipal Lot #3 to Municipal Lot #1 before the vote. Borough Manager Cindy Wells provided the cost figure of $39,060.20 as the amount needed to complete the repairs.
