Board asks that ordinance language replace 'VE Flood Zone' with 'Coastal Floodplain (Zone A and Zone VE)'

Member Kevin Banks moved that the Local Planning Agency recommend approval of Ordinance No. O.4-24 to the Town Commission with a revision changing any reference to the "VE Flood Zone" so it would read "Coastal Floodplain (Zone A and Zone VE)." Member Tony Lembo seconded the motion and the board voted to pass it unanimously by those present.
The requested wording change was offered on the record to broaden or clarify the ordinance's geographic terminology and to explicitly reference both Zone A and Zone VE in the board's recommendation. The change does not itself adopt a different substantive standard; rather, it requests that the Commission consider the phrasing before taking final action on the moratorium and any follow-up code revisions.
