Board Confirms Multiple Hires, Resignations and Assignments for 2024'25 School Year

Specifically, the board accepted the resignation/removal of a substitute teacher effective Aug. 12, 2024, and approved Vicki Smith and Michaela Betler as substitute teachers for the 2024'25 year. The board also approved support and transportation hires: Bonnie White (substitute aide), a substitute bus operator (conditional on background check), Carol Pennington, Julia Burnside (transportation aide retroactive to Aug. 22 and Aug. 29, 2024 respectively), Maria Ricelli (special needs supervisory transportation aide effective Sept. 6, 2024) and Lyn Farrell as a long-term substitute cook beginning Aug. 28 through the return of the regular employee. All motions were made, seconded, and passed by unanimous voice vote.
The board additionally approved extracurricular assignments including Chrissy O'Bron as middle school golf coach and Marcy H. as assistant cheerleading coach for the 2024'25 year. Board discussion clarified some retroactive dates and start-of-year effective dates for the approved hires.
