District readies contingency plans as Thomas water advisory may be lifted before school opens

"We're still planning as if it's not though so we have plans in place," the superintendent said, adding that James and Kevin (operations staff) are hopeful the advisory will be lifted this week. He stressed the contingency planning was important because the advisory affects breakfast, lunch and food prep, and that the district will maintain safe food and hygiene practices until the advisory is officially resolved.
