A district staff presenter asked the board to approve the Title III Part A consortium application, which she said focuses on four supplemental areas: summer supports, family literacy, professional development and a learning community for tracking services. The presenter said the program provided services to about 72 directly served ELL students last year, not counting roughly a dozen virtual‑academy students.
Board members thanked staff and moved to approve the application. "Thank you for all the hard work on this application yet again," one board member said during the motion. The board approved the Title III application by roll call vote.
