The Lake County Schools board approved a vendor purchase for the Benchmark Advance K–5 English language arts curriculum on July 13, authorizing the remaining contract payment of $20,195.
Staff told the board the curriculum was previously purchased in 2023 and the requested payment would cover the remaining three-year term of the contract. Jimmy Dale moved to approve the purchase; John seconded and the board carried the motion on a roll-call vote.
The superintendent said the purchase supports continuity in elementary ELA instruction. Board members did not raise objections during the discussion and directed staff to complete procurement steps so materials are available for the coming school year.
