Union City Borough Council on Aug. 27 agreed to remove and satisfy a borough lien of approximately $2,690 on the property at 121 East High Street after the property was donated to the Erie County Landbank.
Borough Manager Cindy Wells told Council the Landbank requested removal of the lien. Councilor Kerns moved to remove the lien for the full amount and Councilor Steadman seconded; the minutes record that the motion carried unanimously.
The manager listed the lien amount as approximately $2,690; no further repayment conditions or replacement liens were described in the minutes. The council did not record any dissent and provided direction to staff to process lien removal paperwork.
