Special education director Miss Morgan Cook asked the board to approve shortened-day or shortened-week placements for three students whose individual education programs and medical recommendations call for a reduced schedule. Cook said the district’s ARC committee and individual IEP teams evaluated each case and recommended the temporary schedules while transition plans continue.
The board approved the request on a roll-call vote. Trustees and staff noted the change affects only the three identified students and that ARCs will continue to work with families on return-to-school plans.
