Town staff and the design consultant have been working to finalize designs for the Covington Park project funded in part by a PART grant; staff reported that site-specific slope conditions required refinements to the plan and that a revised design will be presented to council in July.
Public works director Jason Hill and the consulting team met on site May 27 to review grading and access on the sloped park site. The consultant will present a detailed plan at the July 13 council meeting; if accepted, staff anticipates approving construction documents shortly thereafter with permitting and bidding to follow, aiming for late‑fall construction if the schedule holds.
