The board moved through a block of appointments and term corrections March 17, approving ratification and term changes designed to align on‑board directories with ordinance‑specified terms. The first item amended the ratification of Gina Rubin's appointment to the Economic Development Commission to reflect the ordinance‑specified term. The board also directed revision of the onboard directory for Harbor Management Commission member Robert DeRosa, corrected term listings for Flood and Erosion Control Board seats, and reappointed Kay McKenzie for a term through February 2029. Finally, the board directed changes to the Shellfish Commission's directory to add a third alternate seat and appointed Jonathan Vander Puten to serve the remainder of the 1/6/24–1/5/28 term.
Board members and staff explained the corrections grew out of legacy recordkeeping; one member said they were "hitting the reset button" as the directory is cleaned up. Each item was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. Staff said the onboard directory will include notes clarifying any past discrepancies so future administrators can track term changes.
