"It's a per capita grant, so it's a dollar per resident which we get roughly 20,000 a year," staff said in explanation. The speaker noted the town also receives a nuclear safety grant that requires no match and that EMPG use for salary reimbursement is an established practice. The resolution passed by voice vote and the First Selectman was authorized to sign documents on the town's behalf.
