The Board of Control on July 15 approved a locally funded change order to contract A-26-024 with Tri-Mor for emergency waterline replacement and upsizing work within the Tower Boulevard project limits. The change order is $207,511 plus 10% contingency for a total of $228,262.10, to be charged to account 6020.P602.6190.6300.1500.
Minutes indicate the work will be performed on the south side of Tower Boulevard where the cross-over streets are located. Because of the emergency nature of the repair, the Law Department provided a written opinion (attached as exhibit) that rebidding was not required; the Board approved the request under the same emergency ordinance authorization cited for related waterline emergency work.
