The City of Lorain Board of Control approved a purchase order request on July 15 to buy YubiKey hardware tokens for multi-factor authentication from GHA Technologies, with a not-to-exceed cost of $6,000 charged to account 1010.E350.6700.1000 (IT Department Capital Outlay).
Board minutes note the department’s need for additional keys to support the cybersecurity system. Mayor Jack Bradley moved to approve the request and Safety/Service Director Rey Carrion seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The IT Department will complete procurement and distribution consistent with existing cybersecurity policies.
