Councilman Pollock told the council the police department requested three resolutions to graduate three officers from probationary to full status; council acknowledged the personnel actions as routine personnel matters.
Pollock also described a recent crash where a vehicle damaged the guardrail on Glen Road and explained an emergency resolution to repair and fortify the guardrail for public safety. "We are submitting and working through insurance, but in the interest of getting this done... we will have to close the road for, probably a couple of weeks, to make sure that that is done and done properly," he said.
The council approved emergency steps to repair the guardrail and directed staff to coordinate insurance claims and traffic notifications. The borough said it will provide public notices through the police department and expects work to begin promptly to ensure the roadway and school-year travel are safe.
