The Harrold Board of Trustees met in special session on Sept. 17, 2024, and unanimously approved Appropriation Ordinance 2024-AP-01 after a second reading. President Dean Becker called the meeting to order at 8:01 p.m., with Trustees Mike Bartels and Marty Winckler and Finance Officer Sarah Rheinbolt in attendance.
Trustee Marty Winckler moved to approve the budget ordinance as presented; Trustee Mike Bartels seconded and the motion carried. The board also approved payment of listed bills, including Poppe Enterprises for $64.00 (pest control) and Omega Industries for $22,793.75 (railroad crossing supplies). Trustees discussed outstanding repairs—specifically a kitchen door at the vendor and an expected gearbox for a blade—and said they will invite the town attorney to the next meeting to address planned zoning ordinance updates. The board encouraged public input and said dates for public meetings will be announced as feedback is received. The meeting adjourned at 8:19 p.m.; the next regular meeting is Monday, Oct. 14 at 7:00 p.m.
