Residents say contractor communication has been inconsistent during Richmond waterline work
Summary
A resident raised concerns that weekly project updates did not match on-site activity and that contractor crews sometimes blocked driveways, left potholes, and failed to post door notices; town staff said they have raised conduct and communication issues with the contractor.

Maria Brown, a Richmond resident, told the commission she and neighbors relied on weekly project notices that did not always reflect actual work locations. "Last week it said there would be work on Cochran and there wasn't," she said, and described tenants moving in on Aug. 3 who cannot be blocked from driveways.
Staff responded that the contractor's foreman, Adam, had been notified about a broken mailbox and inappropriate language from crew members and that the town would press the contractor for better door notices and pothole maintenance. Commissioners agreed to schedule a follow-up with senior contractor staff to improve communications and to consider having a commissioner join a meeting with the contractor and engineer.
